Friday's English - Morels/Morals/Movies

1) Found my first gray morel of the year today!

---

2) Dangerous bicyclists in Tokyo? It's about time.

---

3) Here's a good movie. Why? It shows a perspective you don't always get. Amy Eccles is beautiful. The only bad thing is that the Japanese subtitles are crap. I feel sorry for Japanese people who rely on them, because they're often wrong or give the
wrong nuance.

Is this the very gray morel you found in Tokyo?
That is grate, isn't it?
But I always wonder if one is enough to cook
for your meal.

I haven't heard 'Morels' before but I know 'Morals':), and I'm concerned about Japanese moral hazard these days.

Neco, no that's not the one I found. I just linked to a nice picture I found on the internet (maybe I should credit it better... :-o ). On this weblog, if the picture is nice, it's probably a link to somewhere else. ^_- If the picture's crappy, it's probably one I took.

One is not enough for a meal, but it's enough to get the taste. I'm still looking for a place with lots of morels... I know one place in Tokyo, but it's "difficult" to harvest them there... By the way, I'm still waiting to hear from you (and anybody else who's interested) to organize a "morel viewing walk".

Suiren, thanks for the comment. Yes, moral hazards... my "favorite" is when people drop cigarettes in the street and sidewalk for other people to clean up. Or this!

I am not a good organizer.
Why do not you organize?
I will make a whole of quiche and take then.
Oops! I have to get sneakers for the picnic.

Hi Neco,

That's what I meant -- I would organize it, but I was waiting for email from you about it. (I re-read my comment and it was confusing, wasn't it!)

But I can still not find how to mail you.....
I think it is going to finish morels season
before finding it :-o

Hi Neco,

I'm sorry to be so vague about the email address... It's just that I don't want SPAM.

The address is on my profile page like this -- for example, if my email address is foo@hotmail.com, I would write "I'm foo over on hotmail.com".

So try again!

I'm thinking about renting a car and making a camping/morel trip to Yamanashi/Nagano this weekend. But maybe it's too early!?

For a morel viewing walk here in Tokyo, the white morels don't seem to be out yet, so maybe there's 2 more weeks or so!

I have got it now!
Hoever, Yamanashi or Nagano is too far to me,
and yes, too early, I think.

I suppose it is so nice in Yamanashi and Nagano.
It is Sinryo(新緑) season there.

Hi Neco,

Again, I didn't write clearly (my Yamanashi/Nagano comment). Sorry...

I was planning to go on the camping/mushrooming trip to Yamanashi/Nagano by myself (because I know nobody wants to go on such a trip with me! And Japanese people always want to plan things 2 months in advance, anyway, right!?! ^_-)

For other people to join, I was planning the morel "viewing" walk in Tokyo.
